Dominique McIntosh - Owner/Architect/Managing Director/Designer
A full-time mother of three, a qualified architect and a business owner means that Dominique has the enviable skills of being a first class juggler, born again organiser with the ability to wave her magic wand and create the spaces that fill your dreams. Dominique studied Architecture at Duncan Jordanstone College of Art and graduated in 1998 with a first class B Arch Honours Degree. She became fully qualified in 2000 and an associate of the RIAS. Previous employers include Nicoll Russell Studios, Keppie Architects, Parr Associates, (now known as Ingenium Group) and Dundee City Council. Dominique has worked within multi-disciplinary teams and has a wide breath of experience in design led construction projects, particularly public buildings and also licensed leisure development and housing projects. Dominique’s philosophical approach to design is to understand and appreciate a Client’s individual needs and desires within the constraints of their environment i.e. the existing room being re-developed/re-designed. Dominique’s experience and pursuit of excellence means there are not many situations for which she is unable to find a solution for and she works alongside her Clients to design beautiful, functional spaces for whole families. |
Duncan McIntosh - Owner/Operations Director
Duncan graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1992 after gaining a BSc degree in Agriculture. He became joint owner of McIntosh Interiors with his wife Dominique in 2012, after taking over ‘Batherama’ that was established in 1993. The company received a new identity and facelift when it was re-branded in 2014, and continues to serve the local population and beyond as McIntosh Interiors and Home Development. Duncan is also Interim Manager for DAM Business Resources Ltd, a position he has held since 2012 and he is currently Chairman for his chapter of BNI Synergy, Dundee. His most recent business acquisition is that of Kinloch Travel Services/ 24/7/Travel and Duncan continues to succeed in his customer focussed mindset. Prior to this, Duncan was co-owner of Stuart McIntosh Trade Suppliers. The company was sold on to Decco in 2005 and he took on the role of Profit Centre Manager for the Perth branch of Decco Stuart McIntosh. His dedication in motivating his team and pleasing his customers sets him head and shoulders above the rest of his competitors……literally! |
Hazel Irvine – Interior Designer
Hazel studied Interior & Environmental Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design and graduated in 2016 with a First Class Honours Degree. With a passion to solve design problems, Hazel is enthusiastic to produce design solutions for todays changing society & peoples needs. Her design approach is to understand the clients style to create a design that reflects that and is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. In addition to all things design, Hazel has a keen interest in baking & cake decorating and recently discovered painting, creating mostly landscapes inspired by the great outdoors & nature. |
